The Grace Industries Model C Non-Calibrated Gas Detector is a highly sensitive hydrocarbon detector. It is a non-calibrated detector used primarily for arson investigation and detection.

The Model C Gas detector detects fuel oil concentrations of less than 200 ppm (parts per million) or gas leaks of less than one cubic foot per year.

The Model C gas detector is able to detect trace amounts of hydrocarbons and is ideal for arson investigators.


Operation:
When the sensor is exposed to a gas, hydrocarbon or accelerant, a beep tone in synchronism with a flashing visual indicator will be observed.

A slow beep rate indicates a small amount of gas or accelerant, whereas a more rapid rate indicates a higher gas concentration.

A mute switch is provided to silence the audio for discreet investigation.

The Hydrocarbon Gas & Accelerant Detector is equipped with an electronic purge switch that permits rapid recovery of the sensor when it is exposed to large gas concentrations.
